The Todd mine located in Putnam County NY, was a rather extensively worked Iron Mine during the late 19th century. In 1880 alone, 4032 tons of ore was shipped by the Fallkill iron Company operating the Todd Mine. The ore was shipped to Peekskill on a narrow-gauge railroad, upon which it was shipped by boat to Poughkkeepsie where the furnaces were located.

The ore body averaged 3-4 feet wide and carried 44.34 per cent iron.

During the early 1900's a road was built over most of the mine and it was almost entirely obliterated. A sloped entrance is now caved and water filled and only a small opening in the stope was able to be examined by the crew.
