Edsall Mine
The Edsall mine was an
outer workings mine, this it looks
just like a big pond. Its the only mine located in my homwetown of Hamburg NJ. Most
of my neighbors and friends from the area have no idea that over 100
years ago, that "pond" was an active worksite, employing residents in the
vicinity. Its located on a county road in Hamburg vicinity, the road actually
bends around it, so I dont know which one came first, the mine, or the road.
